Trajan Hague is a certified TaoTouch® massage practitioner based in Somerset.
TaoTouch® massage is an ancient Taoist healing and bodywork practice.
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Taoist philosophy, the practice is based on the belief that the abdomen is where unresolved emotions, stress, and toxins can become trapped, or “knotted,” in the internal organs, leading to various physical and emotional health issues.
In my sessions I use gentle, sometimes deep, yet soft pressure, along with guided breathing techniques, to massage primarily, the abdomen, navel, and surrounding areas to explore the internal landscape of each individual.
Working with the person, not trying to fix but setting the right conditions for healing to take place from within.
After practicing Qigong for many years, I was looking for a complementary healing outlet for these studies. Although I’ve called it massage for simplicity of understanding, the correct name is TaoTouch® Chi Nei Tsang and it is not really a massage. It is applied Qigong, working together with the client, the practitioner creates the right conditions for healing to take place.
I had 5 sessions with Trajan who was incredibly gentle and explained what he was doing as he went along. The whole experience was very calm and peaceful, and I felt that something was released in me after each session. I thoroughly recommend him.

Trajan gave the most wonderful treatment. Talking me through the process and putting me at ease. I very quickly fell into deep relaxation even falling asleep at points. I thoroughly recommend this practice.

Trajan has a friendly, approachable but professional demeanour which together with the safe, nurturing environment he created, I felt at ease and relaxed.
Through his focussed attention and knowledge, I felt he catered to my specific needs and concerns. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Trajan as a massage therapist.

I had a few treatments with Trajan to help with low energy and pain I was experiencing in my lower back and kidneys. He intuitively knew which areas to work on and facilitated a space for me to sink into deep relaxation which allowed healing to take place. I always felt more grounded and relaxed after his treatments.

Trajan’s insight and understanding of what might be the cause of both emotional blocks that lead to physical symptoms and mechanical, biological processes that create long term pain and discomfort in the body very helpful in my own understanding of what can be done to improve my overall health both short term and more importantly looking forward.
The treatments themselves are non invasive and gentle physically so the experience is calm and meditative, allowing there to be open discussion about the intent and reasons for the practice being applied.
Unlike the instant fix band aid approach of western medical practice that is fantastic if you are in a chronic or wounded condition, the feeling of internal healing from your own cellular level using your own internal energy and the awareness of what we have evolved to do for ourselves is explained in clear language and diagrams that offer a distilled and accessible understanding of what is a deep well of knowledge that is being used to balance and help cure our bodies.
I found Trajan to be a good guide and thoughtful practitioner who gave me plenty to go away and work on without overloading things. There are many a dream that I now wake from looking forward to discussing next time we meet.

I recently experienced a Chi Nei Tsang organ massage, a treatment designed to bring relaxation and calm by working with the body’s internal organs and emotional energy. The session involved gentle abdominal massage, soothing head and neck lifting, light shaking of the limbs, and focused work on specific points that correspond with emotional states.
From the very beginning, the treatment felt deeply relaxing—almost to the point of drifting off to sleep. The head lifting was particularly calming, and I could feel my jaw completely relax. The abdominal work felt slightly uncomfortable at first, as I tend to hold tension and anxiety in that area, but once I followed the guidance to breathe into the movement, it became incredibly soothing. This shift even brought about an emotional release that left me tearful yet peaceful.
I left the session feeling very relaxed and calm, though a little foggy and slightly dizzy afterwards, so I would recommend taking it easy for a few hours following the treatment. Overall, it was a profoundly restorative and grounding experience that I would highly recommend.
